Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySOPHIE STASYNEC June 24, 1920 - May 7, 2017 It is with deep sadness the Stasynec family announces the passing of our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Sophie, at the age of 96, on Sunday, May 7, 2017. Sophie was predeceased by husband Mike, sisters, Vivian and Anne, and brother Frank. Sophie leaves behind her sons, Brian (Anne) and Barry (Sharon). She will be sadly missed by her grandsons, Ryan and Paul (Maria), her granddaughters, Tracy (Kurt) and Melanie (Gary), and her great-grandchildren, Joseph, Athena and Hudsen. Sophie also leaves behind her sister Olga Szumlanski of Kingston, Ontario, many nieces and nephews. Sophie enjoyed working at Ludwicks Catering for several years, where she loved making holopchi and perogies. She loved painting, gardening and spending time at the cottage at Nutimik Lake. The family would like to thank her niece Shirley and friend Betty for their many visits as well as the staff at Kildonan Personal Care Home and Bridgette for their wonderful care. Celebration of life will take place Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel located at 1442 Main Street in Winnipeg. Luncheon to follow. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044
