MARGARETE TOEWS Born: May 21, 1932 Date of passing: July 5, 2017 Peacefully, with family by her side, Margarete (nee Sudermann) Toews passed away at the Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home on July 5, 2017. Margarete was predeceased by her loving husband Harry (June 25, 2012). Margarete will be lovingly remembered by her five children and their families: sons Ernie (Ellen), Werner (Linda), Eric (Debbie) and Harry (Monica), daughter Jennifer (Erik); her grandchildren, Timothy (Jenna), Ashley (Jason), Jonathan (Jen), Landon (Nikki), Janelle, Jill, Lauren, Alexandra and Claire, her great-grandchildren, Bentley, Finley, Jackson, Beckem; and relative Nikolai (Liudmila) Tevs, and sons Sergei and Yuriy. A fuller account of her life will be provided at the funeral. A special thank you to all of the caring staff at Bethania, you became a second family to us and we thank you for the exceptional care you provided to our mother. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at the First Mennonite Church, 922 Notre Dame Ave. with interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. Viewing will take place prior to the service. Pallbearers will be her five children. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home, please designate donations to the Spiritual Care Fund or the Recreation Department.
