Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH (BETTY) DYCK (PETERS) February 8, 1940 - July 13, 2017 Peacefully in her sleep, Mom made her journey to heaven where she was welcomed by her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ and her husband, John. Mom is survived by her four children, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, seven brothers and two sisters, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A celebration of Mom's life will be held July 20, 2017 at Christian Fellowship Chapel, 465 Osborne St. in Winnipeg at 12:00 noon. Viewing at the church prior to the service. If friends desire, donations may be made to The Kidney Foundation or the Christian Fellowship Chapel available at the service.

We have known Betty Dyck for many years, as the mother of dear friends of ours, Bev and Mike Dyck. She was a fine, caring lady, and the world was a better place while she was here. Debbie, Michael, Karen and Bernie - please accept our sincere condolences. Our parents (Jennie and Metro Duschak) were good friends of your parents from their days of living on Furby street back in the late 50's and early 60's. They remained friends for all of those years and I remember visiting with you long after we moved. Our mom passed away in 1989 and dad last year (February 2016). We lost touch after your mom moved to Altona, but dad often wondered how Betty was doing and fondly reminisced about their friendship. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all. I've known Mrs. Dyck for over 47 years. Her daughter Karen and I met in kindergarten and have been good friends since. Mrs. Dyck always had words of wisdom to share and was a very kind person.
