Condolences & Memories (21 entries)

  • I met Darrick when I was out and about playing keno. He always was a gentlemen with everyone he met and loved to sit and share stories. Always a smile on his face. I remember when his battle began, and his only concern was how it would affect his children and wife. He always spoke so fondly of them. I miss his company and stories. He was a true gentleman... - Posted by: Donna (Friend) on: Aug 02, 2017

  • Our deepest condolences go out. Darrick was an amazing man. I first met Darrick when we both worked for Piston Ring and when my youngest son started working for Part Source and met him he was truly embracing and very helpful and patient Darrick always greeted and made an incredible "I have known you my whole life impression" and always took the time to truly listen and help everyone. Darrick will be truly missed but never forgotten. Thank you Darrick for just being true and genuine to all that crossed your path. • When we came to visit Darrick in the hospital he reminded us that we have been friends for 27 years and the first time he met our Dad. After picking up a spark plug on his way home from Selkirk for a weekend of cutting grass, only to find out Saturday morning it was the wrong plug (not sold by Darrick). So for the point of it he went back to Selkirk to return it and get the right one. Darrick then gives him the right one. The owner says whoa, there's a difference in price. It was 7 cents. Darrick says are you serious, this guy just drove in from the lake to get the right one. Darrick looks at his boss and says are you nuts? Do you have any idea how many people this guy knows? Go ahead Kerry have a good weekend. From then on Darrick had my Dad's respect and vice versa. He was simply the best, always and forever!! Just like the 5.0L 'Stang pulling out of the chapel lot today, light 'em up Darrick, that place has everything!! Love you, RIP!! ❤😇 Sheila, kids and families, may you find peace during this difficult time or heartache. - Posted by: Trish Sargent-Witt (Friend) on: Jul 25, 2017

  • To the entire Shersty Family I give my deepest sympathy and condolences. Darrick was a very dear friend and mentor to me. It just breaks my heart that he is no longer in this world. He was there for me when ever I needed him as he was for so many people. There is no one on this earth like him but I know in my heart he is still around watching over all his family and friends just like he always did. He was endlessly putting everyone before himself. I'm so thankful and proud to have had the pleasure of knowing him. I have so many fond memories through out the many years I have known him to carry with me in my heart. Terri, Keira and Lexus, your dad was so proud of you and all you have done. Your were always the first thing we would talk about. You and his grandsons were his pride and joy. He loved you all so dearly. The world has lost a wonderful person but he will never be forgotten. - Posted by: Cathy Seaton (friend) on: Jul 18, 2017
