Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryZDENEK (DAN) BEZDEK April 6, 1930 - July 3, 2017 Zdenek (Dan) Bezdek passed away peacefully on July 3, 2017 at Fred Douglas Personal Care Home at the age of 87 years. Left to cherish Zdenek's memory are sons, Emil (Linda), Tony (Ferne), Stan and Walter (Tracy); eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Marie of 61 years. Zdenek was a finishing carpenter by trade and had made many cabinets, coffee tables and end tables. Besides building garages, his workshops and many other things. Dan started with CN in 1956 at B&B and ending his career in the rail plant, retiring in 1995. Dan was an avid fisherman and spent many weekends fishing. Our family would like to thank all the staff at Fred Douglas Personal Care Home and Misericordia 2nd floor longterm care for their compassion and support. In compliance with his wishes, a private family service has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dan's memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or CancerCare Manitoba. Sorry to hear the news. Towards the end of my time relating with Zed, I know he was finding life tough. I trust he left this world feeling comfortable, tired and ready.
