EMILY BIALKOWSKI July 22, 1933 - July 28, 2017 Peacefully on Friday, July 28, 2017 Emily Bialkowski passed away. Emily is survived by her loving son Stan M. Bialkowski, her two sisters Pauline Reid and Frances (Lawrence) DeJonckheere, and sisters-in-law Victoria Richcoon and Lillian Richcoon. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Emily was predeceased by her loving husband John M. Bialkowski, parents Harry and Mary Richcoon, brothers John Richcoon and Peter Richcoon, and sister Annie Kibsey. Emily was born on the farm in Sandy Lake, MB. As a young adult, she moved to Winnipeg where she met her husband John and raised her family. Although she lived most of her adult life in Winnipeg, in her senior years she would snowbird to Calgary for the winter months. Emily enjoyed nature, wildlife, the outdoors and had a zest for life. She loved the simple things in life like gardening, long walks outdoors, cooking, Ukrainian music, dancing and spending time with her son and friends. Prior to going to the hospital Emily expressed "I lived a good life". Viewing will be held on August 2 at 7:00 p.m. at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main Street. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on August 3 at 10:30 a.m. at the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 965 Boyd Avenue with Fr. Bashutskyy officiating.
