Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSE HRYNYK (nee CHWALUK) March 27, 1933 - August 12, 2017 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Rose Hrynyk, unexpectedly at the Victoria General Hospital on Saturday, August 12, 2017. She was born on March 27, 1933 in Menzie, Manitoba. She was predeceased by her husband, John Hrynyk, her parents, Paul and Antonina Chwaluk and her brother, Ernie Chwaluk. Rose is survived by her two sons, Donald and Leonard Hrynyk, her two grandsons, Donald Jr. and Nicholas Hrynyk, and her two sisters, Lillian Hutchinson and Victoria Dillabough. Also remembered fondly by numerous nieces and nephews. In early 1950, she came to Winnipeg and worked at a sewing factory until her marriage to John Hrynyk in June 1952. She then relocated to Carrick, Manitoba where she was a wife, a mother and homemaker until the passing of her husband. In 1989, she moved back to Winnipeg with her son Leonard. She enjoyed her weekly outings with the St. Vital YWCA Seniors organization, playing Kinsmen bingo every Saturday, going to the Transcona Casino at least once a month and lately the Adult Colouring books where her colour coordination was amazing and which she said she found very relaxing. The family would like to thank the Paramedics and the Emergency Department at the Victoria Hospital for their show of compassion and comfort during this trying time. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ukrainian Catholic Church in Sundown, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
