ANTONIO JOSE RODRIGUES On Thursday, August 24, 2017, Antonio peacefully passed away at the age of 85 years. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 59 years, Maria Madalena. He was born in Sao Miguel, Acores on May 14, 1932 and arrived in Canada in 1971. He was predeceased by his parents Virginio Rodrigues and Sofia Simas, as well as his brothers Alfredo and Fernando Rodrigues. Antonio is survived by his son Paul (Natal); daughter Sofia (Manuel); grandchildren Christopher (Ashley), Jennifer (Joel), Miles (Carissa), Denine (Tyler) and Bradon; great-grandchildren Madelyn, Rylan, Zidane and Kaiden, as well as his siblings Jose Rodrigues, Maria Lima and Normanda Rodrigues, including numerous nieces and nephews. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, August 29 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 30 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. N. Interment will take place at Assumption Cemetery. The family would like to thank Palliative Care staff. Flowers gratefully declined, if so desired donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
