ANDRIY SURMAI Peacefully, on Sunday, August 27, 2017, at home surrounded by his family Andriy Surmai passed away after his battle with cancer. Born in Lviv, Ukraine, Andriy immigrated to Canada with his wife and son to join their family in 1997. Andriy was a loving husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his family and pets. He had an immense passion for fishing, gardening, doing home improvement, and his car. Besides his beloved wife Olena, Andriy leaves his cherished memory to his son Nazar, his brother Mykola, and his family, as well as his dogs Lyla and Chico. Prayers will be sung by a Basilian Father at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 965 Boyd Avenue.
