SYLVIA WORONIAK Surrounded by her loving family, mom left us peacefully to be reunited with dad. She was predeceased by husband Alex; parents, John and Lena; siblings, Marianne, Danny and Alice. Also, many sisters and brothers-in-law. She is survived by her sons, Richard (MaryAnn), Garry (Allyson); her daughters, Sandra (Norman) and Susan. Also surviving her are six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also, brother Ray (Bev); sister Nadia; sister-in law Irene; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was a long-time member at St. Michael's Parish and was also a member of the UCWL and the Pastoral Care Group. Mom was a great cook and could make a meal for many at a moments notice. Her cabbage rolls were second to none. She loved to travel and spent many winters with dad in Texas, Arizona and Florida. She was also a great caregiver throughout the years dad was sick. We would like to thank all staff at Concordia Hospital N1-North for their kind and compassionate care over the past few months. Special thanks to Fr. Mark, Fr. Alan, Fr. Walter and the pastoral caregivers of St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Parish for the many visits and spiritual care. Thank you to her wonderful homecare team at Devonshire House. Also thank-you to her friends, Pam and Joan for welcoming her when she arrived there. Mom, we love you and will miss you. Say hi to Dad. Funeral Divine Liturgy will be celebrated by Very Rev. Fr. Mark Gnutel at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 11, at St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Parish, 100 Yale Ave. E., followed by interment at Transcona Cemetery.
