Today was a sad day in our home. My husband Ian has walked our dog every day with Gord. Our dogs were like sisters. I have just walked Daisy and she dragged me to Gord and Molly's house and looked at me like "can u knock on the door and can Molly come out to play. She then walked all around the house. Sadder than that, was coming into the computer room and finding my husband crying with his head in both hands.. Something I have rarely seen. Then I looked up and saw Gord's beautiful face. So this has been a happy day too! As the memories start coming to the surface, good memories. The Gord we knew was wonderful, kind and a real dog lover. So we send our condolences to the family and we are glad Gord did not linger with this awful disease. - Posted by: Roxann Robbins () on: Sep 16, 2017

So sad to read this. We've been friends of Gord for almost 4 years. Gord and I walked our dogs (Molly and Daisy) together every day when the weather would allow. Some nights I'd get home at midnight and Gord would be at the end of the driveway with Molly and I'd say hold on, I'll go get Daisy, and we'd stand out and talk, watch the dogs. He made a great treehouse for his granddaughters just shortly before he sold the house but his and my granddaughter played in it one hot day and they loved it. 2 days ago Daisy got out and ran down to their house, I caught up with her, she wanted me to knock on the door and see if Molly could come out and I lost it, as I have now.. He was a special friend! Rest in peace Gord. Love and miss you always. - Posted by: Ian Robbins (Friend and neigbor) on: Sep 16, 2017
