GERALDINE MARY DUCHARME (nee PHILLIPS) February 21, 1946 - September 11, 2017 With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dearest Wife, Mother and Nan, Geraldine Ducharme who passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, September 11, 2017. She will be sadly missed by her loving and caring partner of 49 years Ray; her children ,Mike, Merle (Patrick), Mark and Maxine (Will); her grandchildren, Shannon (Steve), Chris, Renee, Devin, Jodie, Nick, Chyann and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Emma, Mya, Lynn, Charley and Chloe. She also leaves to mourn her passing, her sister Linda; brothers, Archie, Brian, Stuart and Robert, as well as numerous relatives and friends. Geraldine was predeceased by her parents Harry and Edna Phillips; sisters, Merle, Carol and Winnifred; and brothers, John, Lionel and Henry. Mom was born on February 21, 1946 in Manigotagan, MB. She met her true love Ray in Bisset, MB, raised their family in Winnipeg and was a stay at home Mom who took good care of us. She loved visiting with people, you could always find her and Dad at Garden City Mall having coffee and mingling with the regulars. Mom had a huge collection of Angels that she loved but her true real angels were her grandchildren, she devoted most of her time to them giving them lots of love. Funeral service to take place with reception to follow on Sunday, September 17 at 12:00 noon at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., Winnipeg with Pastor Norman Meade officiating. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire donations can be made to CancerCare MB Foundation, 1160-675 McDermot Ave. The family would like to extend their thanks to all the staff on GH4 at Health Sciences Centre and RR6 at the Rehab/Respiratory hospital for all their care and compassion that they gave Mom during her difficult time.
