LINDA MAE (MORTON) CARR With sadness the family announces the passing of Linda Mae Carr on September 21, 2017 at Riverview Palliative Care Unit after a brave fight with cancer. Linda was a beautiful soul, who was kind, caring and always put the needs of others before herself. She will be missed terribly. Linda's spouse, Bill Stewart, predeceased her in February of 2017. She was loved deeply by her family in New Brunswick, as well as her Winnipeg family, her stepson Iain (Susan), Heather and Kevin Stewart, step daughter Laura (Glenn), Ashleigh and Tristian Kemp, Wendy and Danny Broesky, Jen (Rob), Cali and Jovie Morin and Justin (Lindsay) and Everlee Broesky. At Linda's request, no memorial service will be planned. Special thanks go out to all the staff at Riverview Palliative Care Unit and Linda's many friends who visited during her brief stay at Riverview. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Riverview Health Foundation, Palliative Care Unit. www.voyagefuneralhomes.com

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Our sincerest condolences to Linda’s entire family and extended family. Our family had the pleasure of knowing Linda and Bill at the lake for many years. She treated our boys as her own and always had kind words or a special baked treat for them. She was so special. - Posted by: The Pratt family (Friends from Steeprock Road in the Whiteshell) on: Oct 26, 2017

  • Missing her so much. I just can't believe she is not going to be there when I call. My sweet angel, Auntie Linda, I hope you are well, wherever you are. - Posted by: Jennifer Morin (Niece) on: Oct 15, 2017

  • We are so saddened to hear of Linda's passing. Both Linda and her husband Bill were such a big part of our lives in the Whiteshell. We worked many many hours together, and were inspired by Linda's strong work ethic. If it was worth doing, it was worth doing well. Linda was a good friend and she will be missed. Rest in peace, "Petunia". (Name inspired by the hummingbird who loved Linda's pink t shirt!) - Posted by: Kevin and Gail Nally (Friends) on: Sep 30, 2017
