Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTRUDE (GERTRUDE) THIESSEN On October 4, 2017, surrounded by her loving family, Trude Thiessen passed away peacefully at The Convalescent Home of Winnipeg, at the age of 91. She is survived by a daughter Joanne (Lance); son Richard (Wendi); three grandsons, (Luke, Jack, Sam); one brother Jim (Anne) Braun of Winkler as well as numerous family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Jake in December 2001 and by five brothers and three sisters. Special thanks to the staff of Lindenwood Manor and The Convalescent Home of Winnipeg, who went above and beyond in caring for Mom and demonstrating compassion to Mom and the rest of the family. A celebration of Mom's life will be held at Portage Avenue Church, 1420 Portage Avenue, at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday October 10, with viewing prior to the service. If friends desire, donations can be made in mom's name to Gideon's International in Guelph, Ontario.
