DAISY BURNETT February 17, 1918 - October 13, 2017 After suffering two strokes, Daisy peacefully passed away at the age of 99 years old, four months short of reaching 100. Her father (Newton Fehr) lived to 100 years old and Daisy dearly wanted to reach that goal. Daisy was born in Gladstone, Manitoba. Daisy was predeceased by her three husbands, Thomas Pottinger, Al Hansen and Charles Burnett; three children, Louise Pottinger, Lloyd Pottinger and Harvey Pottinger; great-grandson Nathan Pottinger, and nine brothers and sisters. She is survived by her two sons Norman (Dawn) Pottinger and Gordon (Lynda) Pottinger; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Daisy was a dedicated and proud life-time member of the Elmwood Legion #9. Nothing made her happier than a good turnout for any function held at the legion, and she would volunteer to help in any way they needed to make it a success. Daisy will be missed by all of her family and her many friends for her positive attitude, sense of humour, determination, caring and her overall strength. The family would like to thank the Concordia Hospital staff North-East third floor for their wonderful care and compassion. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 31, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Elmwood Legion #9, 920 Nairn Avenue. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favourite charity. www.voyagefuneralhomes.com
