NETTIE (AGANETA) TOEWS (née SAWATZKY) Peacefully on Sunday, October 29, 2017, at Bethania Personal Care Home, Mom passed away, with her family by her side, two weeks after her 93rd birthday. Mom will be sadly missed by her two sons, Raymond (Terry) of Victoria and Larry (Holly) of St. Andrews, and two daughters, Lorna Friesen and Valerie (Tim) Stuart of Winnipeg; eight grandchildren, Dayna Benjamin (Will), Corey Toews (Aaron), Kristin McKinley (Darby), Kurtis Friesen (Chelsea), Jaime Toews (Sylvester), Stephen Toews (Jennell) and Alyssa and Kiana Stuart. She also leaves nine great-grandchildren: Silas and Cooper Benjamin; Danica and Logan McKinley; Ellymay, Autumn and Jakob Friesen; and Alexis and Sadie Toews. Nettie was predeceased by her husband Peter Toews, parents and brothers, son-in-law John Friesen, and infant twin great-granddaughters Kira and Lydia McKinley. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Bethania Personal Care Home for the special care, compassion and support given to our mother and our family during the last two and a half years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Bethania Mennonite Memorial Foundation. Memorial service will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street, Winnipeg. Be at peace Mom, we love you and miss you.
