Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTATJANA ARCIONI It is with great sadness that our family announces the peaceful passing of Tatjana Arcioni (Mocnik) on October 31, 2017 at the age of 64. Tanya was born November 26, 1952 in Celje, Slovenia. Her family moved to Winnipeg, Canada when she was five years old, where she lived in Point Douglas, and then Elmwood. As a young girl, Tanya was an avid reader. She loved going to the library to take out books, which she would promptly read. Her thirst for knowledge continued throughout her life. She had a strong mind. She persevered through difficult life events with stoicism and strength. Tanya loved rabbits and horses. She always had a tender spot in her heart for animals, especially her bunny Whitey. At the age of 19, she met her husband to be George, and they were married February 24, 1973. Together they had four children: twins Justin and Jeremy, Joelle and Joshua. Tanya and George had many great adventures, they loved taking road trips together. When the children were young, they did a lot of camping as a family. Their love for each other through thick and thin exemplified true commitment. Tanya was a Jehovah's Witness, and as one held strong to her beliefs of a better, new world, where pain and suffering would be no more, and where she would be reunited with her beloved Moonie. She dedicated her life to teaching others about God, which was her passion. She loved meeting with her fellow Witnesses, many dear friends she had for several years. As her illness made her weaker, she found it very difficult to not be able to participate in gatherings at the Kingdom Hall. She missed everyone tremendously. As a young woman, Tanya had various jobs besides being a housewife. She worked as a secretary, and was an accomplished typist. She also worked at De Lucas Grocery Store as a cashier, where she took great pride in her job and really enjoyed her work family, especially her favourite boss John. Tanya was predeceased by her father, Viktor (1952), her son Jeremy (1979), and her mother-in-law Juiliana (2002). She is survived by her mother, Marija, stepfather Louis, sister Andrea, husband George, her children Justin, Joelle (Andy) and Josh (Allison), grandchildren Jacob and Hudson, sister-in-law Franca (Ross), nephew Andrew (Sandra), as well as many dear friends. The family would like to thank all the friends who came to visit Tanya throughout her illness. Our family extends our deepest gratitude for your wonderful words of encouragement and presence during this most difficult time. Thank you to the Palliative Care team at St. Boniface. We could rest easy knowing Tanya was receiving the best of care. Special thanks to the nurses and aides, your bedside care was extraordinary. You are forever in our hearts. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Tanya's life will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 227 Lakewood Blvd. on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Craig Street Cats. www.voyagefuneralhomes.com

Miss you mum. Children do not always choose the same path as their parents....it doesn't mean they love them any less. I'll never forget the many moments we shared...you were there when my first child was born! That was an incredible day....you said you'd never forget it as long as you lived. True love transcends religion, opinions and all other man made barriers...we knew that...deep in our souls that we were forever connected. Nobody can ever take that from us. May you rest in paradise forever....love your Joelle - Posted by: Joelle (Daughter ) on: Nov 06, 2017

We are so sorry to hear of Tanya's passing. Our deepest and most sincere condolences to the family. May your good memories keep her with you. She fought a hard fight and has received her reward, as she is now free of pain and suffering. I know her family was most important to her and she took pride in their accomplishments. I hope she has found the peace she longed for and all the trials and tribulations she faced have been shed. GOD bless. I am sorry we will not be able to attend her celebration of life, but know you are in our thoughts and prayers. - Posted by: Heather McCheyne (long time family friend) on: Nov 04, 2017
