JANNIE BERG (nee VAN NIEUW-AMERONGEN) May 23, 1940 - November 4, 2017 Jannie Berg, aged 77, of Steinbach, Manitoba, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Bethesda Place Personal Care Home, Steinbach, Manitoba. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Arne (Jack) and four children, Robert, Randy, Anita and Danny (Jenn) and grandchild Makayla; her three brothers and four sisters, Aart (Kathy), Gypsje (Dirk), Dikkie, Tina (Wally), Gerrie (Doug), John (Rose) and Walter (Donna) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Dirk (Papa) and Dirkje (Moesje); brother Dirk; sisters, Jopie, Bertha and Ellie and brothers-in-law, Eek, John and Harvey. Jannie was born in Driebergen, Utrecht, The Netherlands on May 23, 1940. She immigrated with her parents and eight siblings to Manitoba in 1952. Two sisters remained in The Netherlands and her 11th sibling was born in Manitoba. She married Arne from Menisino, MB, in 1960 in Whitemouth, MB. The memorial service will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 162 Highway 52 West, Steinbach, MB. The ash interment will follow at Whitemouth Cemetery, Whitemouth, MB. Flowers are graciously declined. Donations may be made to Southeast Helping Hands, or The Manitoba Schizophrenia Society.
