GARETH MCEVOY April 8, 1969 November 26, 2017 Today is full of memories of you, Gareth, you are so very special to us. Gareth was born in Liverpool, England, and moved to Winnipeg when he was six years old in November 1975. Getting off the plane in a pair of shorts, he was whisked to the store and soon wearing classic Canadian gear, a full snowsuit and a toque. Gareth loved the winter, the outdoors and he cared deeply about animal welfare. He had an easy way with people and could strike up a conversation with just about anybody. Gareth had a keen interest in world history and often astonished us with his fantastic memory. He spent a good part of his life living on the East Coast serving in the Canadian Forces. Gareth is survived by his mother Glynis; father Joe; sister Fleur (Gale); niece Kate; and friend Vetta; as well as family in England. Gareth did not want a formal service, instead he wished for his ashes to be scattered in a place close to his heart.
