SAM CHUBEY January, 16, 1925 - December 7, 2017 With great sadness the family announces the passing of Sam Chubey of Rosa, Manitoba. Sam passed away peacefully at the age of 92, on Thursday, December 7, 2017. Sam is survived by his beloved wife Mary; children, Richard (Colleen); Betty (Mike) and Don (Sheri); grandchildren, Nelson, Adrianna, Kiana, and Mathew; siblings, Bert (Sally) and Audrey; and many nieces and nephews. Dad loved spending time with his grandkids and seeing what they were up to. He enjoyed socializing and sharing stories with family and friends. Dad was a farmer, mechanic, inventor, and jack of all trades. There wasn't a challenge that he wasn't up for. He loved farming and spending time with all his pets. He will be dearly missed by family and numerous friends. The family would like to thank the staff, nurses and care workers at Chalet Malouin and Bethesda Regional Health Centre for the compassionate care they showed Dad. We would also like to thank Dr. Duerksen for all great care he has given Dad over the years. Flowers gratefully declined. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Sam Chubey to the St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church - "Pansy Cemetery Fund". A celebration of his life will take place on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 162 Hwy. 52 W., Steinbach, MB, with the burial to follow at St. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church Cemetery, Pansy, MB. Arrangements by BIRCHWOOD FUNERAL CHAPEL 1-204-346-1030 OR 1-888-454-1030
