ROGER MONDOR February 1, 1940 - December 20, 2017 After a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer, Roger Mondor, aged 77 of Ste. Anne, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 peacefully at Ste. Anne Hospital, with his family by his side. He leaves to mourn: his wife of 50 years, Norma; daughters Donna (Rick) and Claire (Robert); son Jean; his grandchildren Darren (Joelle), Angele (Stewart), Jenelle (Ken), Chantal (Aric) and Zackary; his great-grandchildren Tyren and Brielle; his brother Gerard, and sister Jeannine; also his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Louise, brothers Lionel, Maurice, Jean, Joseph and Simon, and his sisters Cecile and Marie. Roger spent most of his life running the family dairy farm until he retired from farming in 1988. After his retirement Roger volunteered his time to the community in various volunteer positions, Roger always enjoyed helping out wherever he could and coached baseball for many years. His passion was always being an integral part of the Knights of Columbus where he served as Grand Knight for three terms and as District Deputy for five years. Dad's greatest love and pride was his family. He could always be heard boasting about his grandchildren, and later on his precious great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church, 162 Central Ave., with ash interment to follow at the Ste. Anne cemetery, Omi Isaie Blanchette officiating. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to Dr. Banerji and all of staff at CancerCare in Steinbach and Winnipeg, as well the doctors, nurses and staff at Ste. Anne Hospital, and also the many friends and family who supported Dad in his battle with cancer for the last three years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Roger Mondor be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 1160-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.   • Roger and my Dad Roger were great friends for many years as is Norma and my mom Patricia. We had great memories with them as we were very much involved in The Knights of Columbus. I remember many moons ago lots of our community families would play baseball in St Geneviève, he was always so kind with us kids sneaking us lil bags of chips An making the silliest jokes. Lol.
