Our heartfelt condolences to Monastyrski family - Taras, Tom, Taisa, Tania, Tim, your spouses and kids. You all are in our thoughts. Anatoli and I have very fond memories of pani Olya from our time in Winnipeg. Her and Taras were so kind and welcoming to us - inviting us to their home for family dinners and Sunday brunches (with European sausages), lending cooking pans and offering rides during cold winter days... Pani Oya was always on her feet, taking care of others. She had a big heart, and her love and generosity extended far beyond her big family. Rest in peace, pani Olya. We will remember you with gratitude. Vichnaya pamyat'! - Posted by: Maryana Nikoula (Tom's friend) on: Jan 04, 2018

Dear Taras, Taisa, Tania, Tom and Tim and families, I am so very sorry to hear of the the passing of Ollie - wife, mother, grandmother and amazing lady. I got to know her through my several summers as a student employed at the Ukrainian Museum at Holy Trinity Church working with Taisa and others. She was a lovely, caring and vivacious lady who always greeted me with a smile and as a friend even in later years when I would bump into her at dance recitals, concerts, church events, and within the broader community. I will always remember the twinkle in her eye and the pride in her voice when speaking of her children and later grandchildren. May she rest in peace but live on forever in your hearts.
