EDITH M. THIELMANN On December 26, 2017, Edith M. Thielmann passed away from a sudden stroke. She was predeceased by her parents; an infant brother and her brother-in-law Will. Left to mourn her passing are her husband John; her stepdaughter Kathleen; her brother-in-law and his wife Michael and Rachel; her sisters, Katie, Annemary, Gerty and Margaret; her brothers and their wives, Henry and Betsy, Ernie and Laura. Also left to mourn are numerous nephews, nieces and their spouses. Also left behind are Edie's special kids, Danielle, Luke, Rebecca and Meagan and their families. Her family and her faith were Edie's greatest joys. She loved you all. Memorial Service on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street.

  • EDITH AND I WERE NURSING STUDENTS TOGETHER. AFTER NURSING WE LIVED ABOUT A STORE ON PORTAGE AVE NEAR GRACE HOSPITAL. BOTH GOT NURSING JOBS AT GRACE HOSPITAL.   • I got to know Edie on 8A when I first graduated as a nurse at St. Boniface Hospital. A bunch of us used to go out dancing after Evening shift. I have such fond memories of Edie and John. I saw their whole courtship develop and it was such a pleasure to see Edie be so happy. My sincere condolences John. Edie was a magnificent person.
