PAT MARTENS Peacefully passed away December 31, 2017 at Riverview Hospital, surrounded by love, at the age of 75. Service to be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street, Winnipeg. Longer notice to follow in Friday's edition.

I am sorry to hear of Pat's passing...but wanted to express my appreciation to you who are left to mourn...that your mom was a wonderful help to my mom, Erica Voth. Mom was Aunt Agatha's sister...and Pat made the effort to have both Aunt Agath and mom over for lunch. I do not not know how often this happened, but be assured it was a highlight in my mom's life. She enjoyed those times very much. I believe that Pat even made the effort to pick her up from Donwood! This act of kindness upped Pat's cache in my mom's eyes, making mom feel special!!
