DIANE LYNN SESAK Diane Lynn Sesak, 61, of Arnes, MB, formerly of Winnipeg, MB, died peacefully at home with her loving husband by her side, on December 31, 2017, after an aggressive, five year battle with the debilitating disease, Alzheimer's. Diane has left behind husband Ron; sons, Kevin (Stacey), Will (Jennifer) and grandson Wyatt; parents, Bill and Corrine Richardson and sister Linda Wall (Art). She was predeceased by her brother David. Special thanks to her friend and homecare worker, Laura Groot. Diane was a wonderful, positive, person who was always smiling. She spent her career as a teacher's assistant, starting in 1985, volunteering at River Elm Elementary School which transcended into a full time position. In 1991, she transferred to Elmwood High School, where she worked until 2010, when her health started to decline. Diane was always available for her family. She ran a fair and honest household, doing her best to raise her sons. Keeping them out of trouble, she made sure that all extra-curricular activities were attended and countless hours were spent at Chalmers CC and the EK YMCA. Every summer was spent at "the lake", Spruce Sands on Lake Winnipeg, first, in the trailer park at C-100 from 1980 until 1998, when her and Ron built their retirement home in Bay Shore Heights. This is where Diane was happiest, spending her time reading, fishing, biking and of course walking her dog. Many miles were trekked with her dog by her side. Whether Tuffy, Ramsey, or Opus, she loved them all. This is where she spent her final years, with Ron as her primary caregiver. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Avenue at Henderson Hwy, Winnipeg, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society. www.voyagefuneralhomes.com

  • Ron, Kevin & Will- Our deepest sympathy in the passing of your beloved Wife & Mother. Our memories of Diane at Spruce Sands are of the countless hours she spent enjoying time with her sons at the beach when they were young and walking her dog. After moving to the cabin we often meet Diane in the campground, she was either walking the dog or driving around with Ron in their truck. May you Rest In Peace - Posted by: Marlene & Doug Hanson (Spruce Sands campers) on: Jan 06, 2018
