Joanna was such a nice person she was so generous and sweet. She always waved and said hi. She gave many things from her home made wine, fresh veggies from her garden to homemade doggie treats, booties and poop bag holders. She would share her day and a glass of wine or even a beer. She was loved by many and will be missed by her friends, neighbours and family. Love you Joanna don't think I ever got to tell you. Thanks for everything and being a great neighbour. - Posted by: Jennifer & Michael Prince (Neighbour & friends) on: Jan 18, 2018

I miss Joanna already as we spent most Wednesday’s together making lunch at the Oak Table. She was great fun and we spent lots of time chatting and laughing at ourselves while trying to get our soup or her special salad dressing just right. I know the other volunteers and so many of our guests will miss her too. Rest in peace dear Joanna. I wish I had known you longer. - Posted by: Tricia D (Friend) on: Jan 17, 2018

I was shocked and saddened to read about Joanna's passing. I worked in the same department as Joanna for many years. She was always kind and friendly, and she always wore a smile. She always had stories to tell about her dog and many people bought the doggie boots she made. She will be missed by many. - Posted by: Donna Friesen (Co-worker) on: Jan 16, 2018

I was so saddened to hear of Joanna's passing. Joanna was a vibrant, kind, independent soul, with moxie and the best laugh. I enjoyed hearing of her travel and adventure stories. We shared many great conversations on the love of our dogs, good food, red wine, Cole Porter musicals and our favorite classic movie "Meet me in St. Louis". Joanna enhanced the lives of many four legged fury pets and their owners with amazing winter booties that she designed and produced in a host of great colors and sizes. Please accept my deepest condolences. "A memory lasts forever, never will it die... true friends stay together and never say goodbye." - Posted by: Jude Zieske (Colleague) on: Jan 15, 2018
