ANNE UNRAU Anne Unrau (nee Froese) passed away peacefully January 11, 2018 at the Health Sciences Centre. Leaving to mourn her passing are her children: Trudy, Lily (Ted Barg), Harry, John (Kathleen) and Ruth (Michael Kepron), seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, her last great-granddaughter was born the day she died. She was the eldest of 14 children and is survived by two brothers: David and Helmut, four sisters: Mary, Louise, Frieda and Marlene and their families. She was predeceased by her husband John, daughter-in-law Darlene, six brothers and a sister. She was born in Lysanderhoeh, Russia on January 22, 1921 coming to Canada in 1927. Anne grew up in a loving family with many friends and relatives, some of whom remained close friends for her entire life. She lived a vibrant life, had a strong faith in God and a deep love for her family. A celebration of her life will take place on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at First Mennonite Church, 922 Notre Dame Avenue. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to Mennonite Central Committee Manitoba, 134 Plaza Drive, Winnipeg, MB R3T 5K9.
