Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKEVIN M. ARMSTRONG It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin Murray Armstrong, aged 61, on Sunday, January 21, 2018, at his home. Kevin was predeceased by his parents Don and Bernadette, and sister Debbie. Left to cherish his memory are his siblings Terry (Jeff), Rob (Doreen), Karen (Ed), Donnie (Michelle) and Ray, as well as his children David (April), Kerri (Dave), Erin (Dana), and grandchildren Julia, Taylor, Mia, Owen, Emma and Macy. Kevin also leaves behind many treasured nieces, nephews, relatives and life-long friends. Kevin was born in Winnipeg in 1956 and graduated from River East Collegiate. He grew up passionately following and playing all sports. He worked for C.P. Rail for over three decades while simultaneously raising his three children with Sharon in Transcona. When his career offered him the opportunity to travel, he built a network of solid friends in many major cities across Canada. Every summer Kevin would make the annual trip to Falcon Lake with his children. He was at his best when he would weave scary stories from his imagination around an outdoor fire. Kevin was a master storyteller who knew the art of pacing, detail and perfect delivery. In 2011, Kevin returned to Winnipeg for health reasons. He resided at Armstrong HQ, strongly supported by his siblings and extended family, who ensured every single need was met. Kevin found comfort following his Bombers, Jets and beloved Miami Dolphins. Kevin will especially be remembered for his unique sense of humour, keen sense of organization and generous nature. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street, Winnipeg. Cremation has taken place with interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Seven Oaks Hemodialysis Unit.
