Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRITA BUORS (nee SAWCHUK) Heaven has a new fiddle player as of January 25, 2018. Rita leaves to mourn her death her husband George, her daughter Cheryl and her husband Joy Millan Violon, her son Tyson and her step-daughter Darlene. To carry on her zest for life, Mom leaves behind her loving brothers, Todd (Shirley) and Don (Brenda), and her brother-in-law Ron (Bobbie). She was a very blessed Auntie and role model to Kim (Robert), Corey (Krista), Chris, Dale (Tani), Brett, Tressa (Spero), Derek (Cristin), Ryan and Danielle, and their families. She is predeceased by her parents, William and Pauline Sawchuk; in-laws, John and Anita Buors; and nephew Darren Sawchuk. Rita was born on January 1, 1939 in Birnie, Manitoba. A talented musician, after graduation from Neepawa Collegiate, her career brought her to Saskatoon and then to Winnipeg. She worked for the Province of Manitoba as Assistant to the Director of Water Resources, at the Department of National Defence and at the Charleswood Library. Mom's greatest accomplishment was as a wife, mother and homemaker in Charleswood. A survivor of Parkinson's, she was an example of courage and love, never once complaining. In these final years, Rita taught us that every small gesture has meaning. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 31, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, 4588 Roblin Boulevard. Rita will be buried in the Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery. Vichnaya Pam'yat.

Thinking of you George, Cheryl and Tyson in your time of grief. I have such wonderful memories of Rita playing the fiddle at Auntie Anita's wedding to Leon. I have many visions in my head of Rita since I was a little girl. I was always fascinated how she could play that fiddle. I looked forward to our family events to hear her play. Yes we were toe tapping. And Xmas was full of Music. I am honored to of know such a lovely sincere person. And I can remember looking up at her when I was a little girl and thinking what a pretty lady. I send my warm felt wishes to All the Sawchuk an Buors Family.
