Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN DILALLO On February 1, 2018 with his wife of 61 years at his side, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John DiLallo. John was born February 26, 1937 to Giovanni and Nicoletta of Fossacesia, Italy. He was brought up in a family of four older brothers, Antonio, Nicholas, Andrew and Dominique. John is survived by his wife Barbara; daughters, Donna, Lori and Joann; and his son John; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by an infant grandson Angelo. He was educated at Somerset, Hugh John McDonald and Daniel McIntyre Schools. He was also very proud of his accomplishment of graduating with a Certificate in Management from the University of Manitoba. Growing up he participated in organized sports, playing hockey and baseball, as well as being an "All Star" with the Norquay Rams in 1954, when they won the Manitoba Juvenile Football Championship. While bringing up his children, he coached baseball, hockey, and soccer at the Richmond Kings Community Centre. In later years, he enjoyed every minute watching his grandchildren participated in their sporting activities. John worked at Motor Coach Industries for 43 years and he always looked forward to meeting up with old friends and colleagues on that first Monday of the month for breakfast. He loved his garden, nurturing seedlings during the winter and tending his plants with care all summer, suppling us with the fruits of his labour. We would like to thank the amazing staff of Concordia Hospital N1-South Oncology for your care and compassion during this difficult time in our lives. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service. A private family memorial will take place to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. Lovingly Remembered and Never Forgotten www.voyagefuneralhomes.com

Deepest sympathy to Barb and family. Not every morning but a good few mornings John would stop at the bus stop in Whyte Ridge to pick me up and give me a ride to work. I enjoyed seeing and talking with him at the monthly MCI breakfast in the last couple of years. Thank you John and may you Rest In Peace. - Posted by: Diane Collins (Acquaintance from Motor Coach Industries ) on: Feb 12, 2018

My sincere condolences to Barb and family in the loss of their father and grandfather. John was a great friend and mentor to me and many others that worked together at MCI for many years. Ray, thank you for your wonderful aid to ensure John got to those Monday morning breakfasts over the last number of years. Sharing the good old times with lots of laughs warmed my heart. God Bless John and all of his family. Ron Campbell - Posted by: Ron Campbell (Friend and co-worker) on: Feb 10, 2018
