GLADYS VIOLA FOULDS It is with a great sense of thanksgiving that the children and grandchildren of Gladys Viola Foulds (nee Flood) announce her Home Going on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at her apartment in Winnipeg, MB. She is survived by her son Doug (Fran) of Brantford Ontario; daughter Miriam (Bruce Martin) of Winnipeg; son Ken (Mona) of Edmonton; grandchildren: Douglas, Theresa, Suzanne, Cherolyn, Janalyn, Wenda Lee, Drew, Megan and Cody; 10 surviving great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Gladys was predeceased by her husband Jim in 1989 and her son Bryan in 2011. She is also predeceased by her parents James and Charlotte Flood as well as her siblings Grace Wyville, Hazel MacDonald, Stan Flood, Harvey Flood, Elmer Flood, Gordon Flood and Violet Lawrence. Gladys married Jim in 1946 and lived in Owen Sound, ON all her life until her recent move to Winnipeg in April of 2015. She always kept an immaculate home, always entertaining, hosting many game nights with her many friends. A loyal Tim Hortons customer, who never saw a Boston Cream doughnut she didn't like. She was always a sharp dresser, having worked on Main Street, Owen Sound in retail fashion for many years. She was a very committed Christian, faithfully serving in her local church, both in Owen Sound and most recently here in Winnipeg at Calvary Temple. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honour of Gladys to the HH Barber Retreat Centre at Calvary Temple Camp, where she spent a week each summer as a volunteer.
