Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHERB GIESBRECHT Peacefully with family by his side, Herb Giesbrecht passed away at Riverview Health Centre, on February 14, 2018 at the age of 68 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Jakob and Maria Giesbrecht and his brother Ewald Giesbrecht. Herb will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Ani; daughter Judy (Mark), Lukas, David; son Tim (Miriam), Tiago, Caio, Matteo, Julia. Herb was born in 1949 in Filadelfia, Paraguay. In 1970 he immigrated to Canada and in 1973 married the love of his life Ani. Herb enjoyed his career as an electrician, and in his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. After retirement, he returned to Paraguay to work alongside his Indigenous friends in agricultural development. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 19, 11:00 a.m. at North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church, 1315 Gateway Road in Winnipeg. Viewing prior to the service. Donations may be made to MCC.
