Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJANINA (DIANE) LEBEDYNSKI May 24, 1941 - February 17, 2018 It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Diane Lebedynski. After a bought with cancer and medical complications, Diane passed away in the early hours of Saturday, February 17, 2018. She was 76 years old. Diane is survived by her four sons, George, Andrew (Riya), Mark (Monika), Richard (Kathy) and her three grandchildren, Jessica, Lukas and Matthew. Born a daughter of seven siblings, Diane is also survived by her sisters, Irena Nerwinska, Stefania Mordasiewicz and Krystyna Drazazewska. Diane and Tadeusz Lebedynski were married in 1961 in Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1964 to start a new life. They were married for 52 years. She was a feisty woman keeping busy with full time work and raising four boys. Quite an undertaking that she did gladly. After her boys had grown up, she helped in lovingly raising her beautiful granddaughter Jessica. Diane worked for many years in the food service, first starting at The Grillroom at the T. Eaton Company in downtown Winnipeg until they closed. She also worked at Lions Manor for a short period of time, before her last job at Cara foods at the Winnipeg airport. Diane was hard working and not afraid to get the job done, she spoke straight and to the point about matters, and enjoyed the simple things in life like plants, gardening, cooking and going for walks. The door to her home was always open and ready to welcome any guest. She was a very social person, spending time talking, sharing stories and laughs with her neighbours and friends. The church and her faith was a big part of her life. She attended Holy Ghost church as a parishioner every Sunday. Diane lives on in us, she lovingly nurtured us when we were small and guided us as we grew. Her positive attitude, values, hopes, dreams, kindness and caring spirit became a part of us. Though she is now resting with Tadeusz once again, her love for us remains, and always will. Our mother and grandmother lives on within our heart and her spirit guides all of us on. Funeral services will be on Monday, February 26 at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Parish, 341 Selkirk Ave. Starting with the Rosary recited at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Diane will be laid to rest following the service at Holy Ghost Cemetery, located at 4287 Main Street, West St. Paul. A lunch reception will be held after the burial at Holy Ghost Parish reception hall located in the lower level of the church. All are welcome. "Your presence we miss, your memories we treasure, loving you always, forgetting you never." www.voyagefuneralhomes.com
