DENNIS ALEXANDER KLEPATZ 1943 - 2018 Dennis passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018 at Selkirk Hospital at the age of 74. He was predeceased by his wife Lynda, father Alexander, infant sister Delores, father-in-law Helmer and brother-in-law Lloyd. He leaves behind his mother Ella; son Darren; daughters, Jacqueline White and Laurie Kraus (Craig) and their mother, Maggie Klepatz; his stepdaughter Beth McCallum; mother-in-law Celine Bellin; sister-in-law Carrie and brother-in-law Len (Pauline). He will be missed by his grandchildren, Alex, Morgan (Joe) and Noah White, Ty (Larissa) and Cayden Kraus, and Wyatt Klepatz; his stepgrandchildren, Travis Kraus (Genevieve) and Jasmin and Kennie McCallum. He is also survived by his sister Brenda Klymchuk (Arnie) and numerous nieces and nephews. Dennis attended River Hills and Whitemouth schools and played hockey and baseball. He enjoyed spending time with his cousins, many of whom were like brothers and sisters to him. As a young man, he worked hard on his uncles' farms and at summer jobs with his dad doing road construction work. He took pride in his long career at Atomic Energy of Canada. Dennis enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, hockey and curling and brought home many trophies over the years. Being a very social person, he made many dear friends through his love of sports and his gift of gab! Dennis was very knowledgeable and could fix almost anything. What he didn't know, he took the time to learn. He also had a love for cooking and trying new recipes. He spent many hours in the garage with his dad, repairing and creating, and helping his mom with her garden and greenhouse. Dennis loved his children and in retirement he truly lived for and adored his grandchildren. It was through them that his compassion and love was expressed. Dennis had a good full life and was loved by many. He was a strong man and courageously fought his illnesses. He can now rest in peace. The family wishes to thank his doctors, nurses and homecare staff for the care they provided, with special thanks to Dr. Jonathon Laxton (his favorite doctor), his homecare nurse Gail and homecare aid Lisa, as well as Dr. Rehana Alarakhia and nurse Lynn who were truly kind, caring and compassionate during his final hospital stay. We will be forever grateful to you for helping to keep Dad comfortable and respected. In accordance with Dennis' wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Dennis' life will be arranged in the near future and we will spread the word, hoping to see his family and friends together to share memories.
