JOAN ANNE OSACHUK (nee HERBUS) On March 13, 2018, beloved mother and grandmother, Joan Anne Osachuk (nee Herbus), 72, passed away at Health Sciences Centre, with her family at her side. Joan was born in Germany on January 19, 1946 and came to Canada as a young child with her parents in 1948. She lived in Winnipeg for the majority of her life with a few years spent in Fort Frances, Ontario, where she and her husband owned and ran a shoe store. When they returned to Winnipeg, Joan joined the Winnipeg School Division and retired at the age of 65, with over 20 years of service. In 1975, Joan married Ronald Osachuk and shared 38 years together raising their two children, travelling and creating a lifetime of memories until his passing in 2014. Joan is survived by her son Andrew; daughter Wendy and grandson Matthew. Joan was predeceased by her husband Ronald Osachuk and her parents, Stefania (nee Chwaliboga) and John Herbus. Service will take place on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg with Rev. Father Yolando Gamallo officiating. Service will terminate at the chapel.
