I have fond memories of Doug through work. He was one of the fine gentlemen who trained me for my then position in Zoning and Permits at the City. We became friends over soup at Little Saigon until Doug retired. He will be missed. - Posted by: Ted Hawley (Co-worker and friend) on: Mar 19, 2018

Heard the news of Mr. Sywake’s passing from my father. We lived next door to the family on Leila Avenue; I was friends with Alana and Robin when we were children.
