EDWARD HENRY PLOSZAY It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. Edward Henry Ploszay passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital on March 18, 2018 at the age of 84. Predeceased by his parents, Paul and Pauline, he is survived by his beloved wife Joan, his children Edward Jr. (Mary), Margaret Ferniuk (Ron), Jacqueline Gacek (Greg), John (Rose), Andrew and Michael, and grandchildren Katie, Victoria and Paul, Hayden and Hunter and their mother, Kerri-Jo. Ed's career with Manitoba Hydro, Property Department, spanned more than three decades. He retired in 1993 and enjoyed a fulfilling retirement. He and Joan did some travelling and he was keenly interested in world affairs, but home and family were the most important to him. His home was always filled with fun and laughter and sometimes hot debates, especially on Sundays when everyone gathered for family meals. Ed was a faithful member of St. Anthony of Padua Church and Knights of Columbus. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony of Padua in West Kildonan at 250 Burrin Avenue on Thursday, March 22 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Dominic Yuen presiding and Father Sam Argenziano as concelebrant. Flowers thankfully declined. Please give to a charity of your choice. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
