HELEN REDEKOPP After a brief illness, Helen Redekopp went to be with her Lord and Saviour on March 20, 2018 at the age of 92. She is survived by her daughter Julie Hiebert (Rick); son Frank (Shanley); grandchildren, Olivia Dueck (Drew), Jenifer Downie (Neil), Melissa Vik (Nils), Vanessa Stachiw (Landen), Blake Redekopp, Nicole Redekopp; great-grandchildren, Ruby and Nina Dueck, Cadence and Gage Downie, Marte and Lena Vik; sisters, Hilda Schulz (Henry), Susan Wiebe (Abe); brother Paul Peters (Elizabeth); brother-in-law George Born; brother-in-law Vern Neufeld (Ruth); sister-in-law Sadie Stobbe and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Peter Redekopp; sisters, Margaret Born and Anne Neufeld. Helen lead a long and full life and was well loved by many. For everything she accomplished, she desired to express thanks to Jesus Christ her Lord and Saviour. Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Sargent Avenue Mennonite Church, 926 Garfield Street with viewing at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow. A special thank you to the staff at Concordia Hospital for the care given to Helen.

  • Helen was a wonderful loving family who helped a lot of immigrants as they came to Canada and my family was one of them. I hope Helen's family know that she meant a lot to a lot of people and hope she was blessed too.
