LISA BAKER 1967 - 2018 It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our much loved and adored Lisa. Lisa is survived by her wife Holly; parents, Paul and Rosemarie; brother Duane (David); sister Candace; father-in-law Casmir; sisters-in-law, Christine (David) and Marilyn (Trevor); nieces, Payton (Scott) and Kaitlyn; nephews, Quincy, Cameron and Nicholas; as well as numerous family and friends. She is predeceased by her godfather Marion, cousin Dale and mother-in-law Bonnie. Lisa was born and raised in Beausejour. As a kid, she enjoyed a free-range childhood. She started playing baseball at an early age and it was her passion, until too many injuries forced her to stop. After graduating from high school, she began a 30-plus-year career with the City of Winnipeg, where she made many lifelong friends. Lisa's other passion was her fur babies, so we ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Craig Street Cats, 16-1421 St. James St., Winnipeg, MB R3H 0Y9, or a pet shelter of one's choice. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 31 at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Ave. E in Beausejour, MB. • So very sorry for your loss of your dear daughter. We have fond memories of her and your family. She was such a happy child....seeing her blossom as she grew into a young woman. She was always so good to Paula being her little sister Candace’s friend. I loved all her ideas of gifts (fuzzy fur creatures) for her dad. Strength and grace be with you.
