Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERHARD WILLI WEISE It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Vati, Opa, and Opa-pa, on Thursday, March 29, 2018. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving family: children, Henry (Karin), Marianne (Gord Sobie) and Werner (Mary Ann); grandchildren, Christina (J.P.), Melanie (Leon), Kristin (Nathan), Alan (Alaina), Marina (Sean) and Matthew (Carleigh); and precious great-grandchildren, Cora, Ani, Xavier, Helena, Bettina, Louen, Ella, Mia, Sadie, Rebecca, Johanna, Emelia and Natalie. He is also survived by brother Heinz and his family of Winnipeg, as well as extended family in Germany. He was predeceased by Maria, his loving wife of 68 years. Gerhard was trained as a machinist in Germany. After immigrating to Canada with Maria and son Henry, he found employment at Mechanical Welding, a job he proudly held for 40 years. A special thank you is extended to the wonderful staff of N1 South of Concordia Hospital, as well as his homecare team for their kind and compassionate care. Funeral service will be held at Sargent Avenue Mennonite Church, 926 Garfield Street, Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with viewing prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gerhard's memory to Mennonite Central Committee.

GERHARD WILLI WEISE Gerhard passed away peacefully at Concordia Hospital on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at the age of 91. Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Sargent Avenue Mennonite Church, 926 Garfield Street, with viewing prior to the service. Longer obituary to follow.
