I am so sad to hear of her passing. I met Geri during her time working with Justice in Open Custody and working with high risk offenders in her home. She had a classiness beyond compare and any client in her care were treated like they too were and deserved better. AND she LOVED her family! She was a kind lovely human being. ❤️ - Posted by: Sandy Lafontaine (Friend/colleague) on: Feb 20, 2019

Geri was a true friend to me sice 1974. We talked on the phone regularly. I was privileged to have in my daughter and my life. I was so happy to have seen hee when I was in Winnipeg last June. We talked in early December and we were making plans for me to come back again in the near future. I only wish she would have told me her health was failing rapidly and I would have come out right away. I will always have a place for her in my heart and thank her for introducing me to the love of my life. Rest in peace my dear friend. I will miss you more than you could possibly have known. Say hello to mom for me. Until we all meet again. You will be missed. All my love, Wendy. - Posted by: Wendy Sturrock (Friend since 1974) on: May 27, 2018

I knew Geri for many years. I was saddened to see this. We too lost touch after she moved back to the city. If anyone needed a hand or didn't have anything, she was always more than willing to help out. Thanks for being a friend for all those years. May you RIP. - Posted by: Charlene (friend) on: Apr 16, 2018

Knew Gerri for a number of years, then loss touch, she had such a wild sense of humor, we would go garage hopping for deals and would laugh almost all the time. Was so much fun, spent a couple of Xmas with her. My late husband use to just pick her up and put her under his arm, she would laugh so hard. She helped a lot of troubled kids in her work and was loved by all. She is charting a new way now and I am sure is laughing with all her friends, sweet trip my friend, and soar with the anglels . - Posted by: Maureen Anderson (Friend) on: Apr 07, 2018
