Eddie was one of the first friends I made growing up in East St Paul and even though I hadn't seen him in decades, my wife & sons recognized his name through my fond reminisces. We did lots of stuff together - rafting & catching crayfish in the creek, tobogganing down the riverbank, exploring and playing. And yes, "getting into trouble", too. The world is a sadder place without him. - Posted by: Bob Bagamery (childhood friend) on: Apr 17, 2018

Our Deepest Sympathies to Bernice, Tyler and families for the loss of our beloved Eddie. It was wonderful to see his family gathered for his celebration of life, something I know he would have loved, Thanks to everyone who made that possible. I was reminded by Gord that I was the last of the original “ Up the Hill Gang” at Betula Lake, or as we were better known as the “Betula Lake Drinking Team”. It’s hard to imagine that Ed still spent his summers there some 42 plus years later. It was a place he loved, and his family grew from that place. He will always have a place in my heart. Rest In Peace Buddy! Hope you reunite with all our friends and loved ones in Heaven. - Posted by: Brett Armstrong (Friends for 54 years) on: Apr 16, 2018

We are so sorry to hear of Ed's passing. We will miss " the betula lake mayor" and sitting around the campfires listening to the bomber games. Also set up won't be the same without Eddy giving his " two cents" on which way to position our trailer. Many laughs-I'm sure him and John are raising some hell at the pearly gates! Rest in Peace.
