Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVELYN ROSE CHARTRAND (nee FLATFOOT) After a courageous battle with Cancer, Evelyn Rose Chartrand passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at her residence, at the age of 71 years. Evelyn was predeceased by her mother Julia May; father Nelson Lamirande; daughter Candace Chartrand; and sons, Kevin Chartrand and Earl Chartrand, Jr. She is survived by daughters, Chantell Chartrand and Cynthia Pless; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Born in Pine Creek, MB. Educated in Winnipeg and received a Bachelor of Education at Brandon University. She was an educator for 34 years. Her hobbies included sewing, beadwork, crafts and keno. She had a lifelong passion for Tribal Politics and was a fighter for The First Nation People. Celebration of Evelyn's life will take place Friday, April 27, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Private family interment at a later date.
