ELIZABETH DROST (née SIDAK) September 27, 1930 - April 24, 2018 Elizabeth was born on September 27, 1930 to Anna and Frederick Sidak in Winnipeg. She lived her whole life in Winnipeg and died on April 24, 2018 in her home. She was predeceased by her husband John (2002); her mother (1971) and father (1987); and by her brother Mike (2006). She is survived by her sister Geraldine Presley, Geraldine's husband Terry, and their daughter Taryn; sister-in-law Darlene Sidak and her children and grandchildren; her niece Pat Toupin and her children and grandchildren; and by her constant companion, her cat Sox. Elizabeth loved cats, dogs, and birds, and lost many that she will meet again in the Peaceable Kingdom. She was always grateful for answered prayers from St. Thérèse (Little Flower) and to St. Anthony for always finding her glasses. A special thank you goes to Diana Allan and Barbie Sysa for being fantastic friends to Liz. She thoroughly enjoyed going out and being with them, and truly appreciated all their help. The funeral service for Liz will be held on Friday, May 4 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 250 Jefferson, officiated by Fr. Dmytro Dnystrian, CSsR, followed by a luncheon in the church basement. Interment will follow at a later date, at which time Liz will join her mother and father at All Saints Cemetery.
