Clara was predeceased by her husband, Ewald, daughter, Marlene, brother, Ewald, sisters, Pauline Scherloski, Elsie Kowalke, Elma Malinak and Lily Klippenstein. Clara is survived by her children, Leonard (Betty), Larry (Sharon) and Gordon (Marie), also her grandchildren, Cameron, Trevor (Chrissy), Brent (Linnea), Triztan, Kristal (Andrew), Carla (Bradley) and Lori (Kevin), and her great-grandchildren. Clara was born in Saskatchewan and moved around until settling in Langenburg, SK. Gus Kowalke brought our dad to Langenburg, SK and told him he could pick any of the girls except Elsie. This is how they met. A short time later they were married and moved to the Greenwald homestead, where they farmed until retirement in 1981. Then they bought a house in Beausejour. Mom was always busy with the garden and taking care of her grandchildren. Mom was known for her chicken dinners on Sundays, being with her family and always had to have a game of cards. Mom was also involved with Church, bible study, Red Hat Ladies and the Beau-Head Centre. Mom's health took a turn and she resided in East Gate until her passing. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 7 at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour, with viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Beausejour Cemetery. Thank you to the staff at East Gate for keeping Mom comfortable in her time of need. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
