Chester was born in Lithuania on January 30, 1931. For over 70 years he owned and operated Chester's Enterprises. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Donata, and many other friends and relatives. A funeral service for Chester will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 10 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main Street, followed by interment at Chapel Lawn Cemetery. MY CONDOLENCES TO DONATA AND RELATIVES. I KNEW AND WORKED WITH CHESTER FOR 35 YEARS. HIS REPUTATION IN THE PUMP INDUSTRY WAS SUCH THAT HE WAS THE ONLY PERSON I WOULD CALL FOR ASSISTANCE IN EQUIPMENT REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT. IF HE COULD NOT FIND A PART HE WOULD MACHINE A PART FROM A PIECE OF STEEL. NO ONE COULD MATCH HIS ABILITY AS A SKILLED ARTISAN. HE WAS A GOOD FRIEND TO MANY, AND A GOOD PERSON TO GO SALMON FISHING WITH ON VANCOUVER ISLAND.
