Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Dad, I am going to miss our talks over the phone every 2 weeks. We spoke about so many things. Even though we were a 2 provinces apart it was wonderful to connect and keep in contact with you. Rest in peace Dad. - Posted by: Lila (Daughter) on: May 28, 2018

  • Sincere Condolences to all the family on your loss. Although I seldom saw Aldemar since I was a child, Jim and I have a special memory that I would like to share. It was a very cold New Year's Eve - probably in 1968; and Jim and I were heading out to Menisino from Winnipeg, for the Midnight Dance in Piney. Outside of Steinbach a few miles, the car died. Of course, in those days there were no cell phones, but luckily someone stopped and gave us a lift to Vita corner. I knew Aldemar lived in Zhoda at the time, so we called him. He picked us up and drove us out to Menisino. I think the heater in his truck was broken, and even if it was after midnight by this time, he returned to Zhoda. I hope he knew how much we appreciated the effort he made to rescue us..and we thank God that he got home safely that bitterly cold night. - Posted by: Ione (Maus) Challis & Jim (Family Friend from Years gone by) on: May 11, 2018
