BERNARD FRANKLIN ROSTEK Peacefully on May 6, 2018 Bernard went home to be with the Lord. He is survived by his wife Blanche (59 years), daughter Erin (Dean), son Jason (Christy), mother Rose, brothers Lawrence (Eva), Russell (Arlene) and children. Bernie's second love was his cottage at Winnipeg Beach where he spent time doing carpentry and enjoying the outdoors playing golf. He also enjoyed winters on Victoria Island for 13 years where he was an avid curler. Cremation has taken place and his funeral will be held at St. Theresa Parish, 3597 Main Street, West St. Paul, Manitoba on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to CancerCare Manitoba. www.voyagefuneralhomes.com

  • Bernie was our next door neighbour for almost 20 years when we lived in Winnipeg. I called my daughter Angela to tell her of Bernies's passing and she said, "Best neighbour ever".   • I got to meet Bernie at McD's several years ago. We would have coffee with several others and discuss daily events. But once the good weather came, he would be at the cottage most of the time.
