JEAN DZYNDRA It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Jean, on March 11, 2018, at River East Personal Care Home. Jean is survived by her daughter Marilyn Sanderson; grandchildren, Keith (Jodie) Sanderson and Leanne (Lee) Morton; great-grandson Benjamin Morton; and nephews, Ken Tkachuk, Clayton Kilborn; and niece Louise Balaban. She was predeceased by parents, Iwan and Hanka Balaban; husband William Dzyndra; son Lawrence Dzyndra; sisters, Mary Kilborn, Nettie Tkachuk, Stella Schenk; and brother Mike Balaban. Jean was born in the RM of Stuartburn in November 1918 and moved with her family to Transcona in 1924. She married William Dzyndra in 1939 and continued to live in Transcona for most of her life. Jean was a devoted wife and mother. She was a proficient seamstress and cook. She spent many hours in the kitchen, which was also a favourite meeting place for friends and family. She provided advice and wise counsel to all who would listen and was well respected by all who had the pleasure of spending time with her. Cremation has taken place and a private interment was held with family and close friends. The family wishes to express thanks to the caring staff at River East Personal Care Home.

Dear Marilyn & family, we had known your mom for many years, was a special friend and most enjoyable to visit. We're able to visit her at Misericordia and we're pleased when she moved to River East Home. May the pleasant & happy memories help to ease your loss and yet how nice that your mom had such a long life and a wonderful hope for the future. Her faith and her example was a real source of encouragement to many. With our deepest sympathy, Wally & Louise Joba - Posted by: Joba, Wally & Louise (Friends ) on: May 16, 2018
