BONNIE GAIL KAWKA (nee SMITH) April 4, 1948 - May 20, 2018 Peacefully, with family by her side, Bonnie passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018. She was predeceased by her parents George and Iris Smith. Bonnie will be lovingly and forever remembered by her husband Bill; daughter Tanya (Ken) Loeppky; son Trevor (Trish) Kawka; grandson Liam, and granddaughter Ivy. She is also survived by her sister Bev (Don) Rickey; brother Glen (Christine) Smith; brother-in-law Bob Kawka (Marisol); sister-in-law Kathy Kawka; niece Laura (Chuck) Thiessen; nephews, Paul (Marcia) Rickey, Jeff Rickey, Scott (Corinna) Rickey and Chris (Hayley Riopka) Smith. Bonnie was known for her generosity of spirit as well as her life-long love of animals. Bonnie had a very successful career in accounting and was proud to be the founder of Five Star Accounting. The highlight of her career was winning the Excellence in Service Award at the 2014 Manitoba Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. She will be fondly and lovingly remembered by all who have known her. The family would like to thank all the wonderful doctors, nurses and hospital staff that provided her care. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Anglican Church Fort Garry, 830 North Drive, Winnipeg. A family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bonnie's name to the Winnipeg Humane Society. www.voyagefuneralhomes.com

I will sadly miss Bonnie..she was always such a pleasure to be around and chat with while we watched flip that house and talk shows on Wednesday's when I was cleaning her house ..Wednesdays will never be the same, and neither will home reno shows. I'm happy I got to know her very well these past few years, she was a truly awesome person, really friendly, outgoing and easy to talk to.
